Jigsaw or interlocking shape paintings can be loose and painterly or very geometric with straight hard edges. These work well with a palette of colors and a commitment to making plan on for balance, brightness and color dominance. The time for these is a bit longer but this can be a great theme in high contrast, tinted whites or even soft muted colors.
